Connie Michaels
Religious Formation Secretary
Connie has been a parish member since October 6, 1980. She is married and has two children. She has taught in the Religious Formation program for more than five years including being the secretary since 1995 and has belonged to the OLOW Adult Choir for over ten years.
Connie’s duties as the Religious Formation Secretary include:
- Working with the director of religious ed and youth minister
- Answering phones of both the DRE and youth minister
- Helping with registration of students for various religious formation programs, including VBS.
- Collecting and tracking payments for religious formation and confirmation programs.
- Maintaining records of families/students in the religious formation and confirmation programs
- Helping the DRE prepare the necessary materials, forms, etc., for students in the programs including the VBS program — running off copies and assembling necessary booklets etc.
- Duplicating and assembling materials for various groups in the parish, i.e., Christian Women Minutes, Singles Group, etc.
- Take notes once a month for the Education Commission meetings
- Maintaining phone communications with students/parents to remind them of special events
- Contacting parents of students who are absent
- Help wherever and whenever needed
