Youth Ministry

Kristyn is the newest member of the staff, joining us on July 1, 2010. She is our Youth Ministry Director and also serves as coordinator of the confirmation program. Kristyn was recently married; you may also see reference to her under her maiden name of Coules.

As Youth Minister, Kristyn’s responsibilities are to facilitate the implementation of a comprehensive Youth Ministry that responds to the personal and spiritual needs of the parish youth, specifically in grades 6 – 12. This includes:

  • Act as an advocate for youth
  • Coordinate high school youth ministry program (Grades 9 – 12)
  • Coordinate middle school youth ministry program (Grades 6 -8)
  • Participate in youth leadership team meetings
  • Organize spiritual retreats
  • Encourage family support for youth
  • Plan youth ministry budget
  • Attend Vicariate Youth Minister meetings
  • Attend Archdiocese Youth Minister meetings and youth events

In addition, Kristyn also the following duties for our confirmation program:

  • Plan and lead orientation and parent meetings
  • Recruit, train and support volunteers to facilitate programs
  • Facilitate training of youth for Christian ministry
  • Coordinate retreats (2 weekends)
