I come to Our Lady of the Woods with nine years of full time parish experience. I have been Director of Liturgy and Music both at St. Joseph in Trenton and St. Linus in Dearborn Heights. I am married to Jaime, and we have a son, Gabriel. Jaime and I actually met at St. Joseph and that is our home parish and where we got married.
I grew up in Southgate and went to St. Pius then Gabriel Richard for high school. I attended Madonna University in Livonia where I received an associates degree in Criminal Justice and a bachelors degree in Pastoral Ministry. I am currently in the process of finishing up a Masters in Pastoral Studies at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit.
Service here for me includes many different areas, but the main areas are:
- Baptism – Preparation/Formation/Scheduling
- Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
- Adult Confirmation Preparation
- Oversee the Worship Commission
- Oversee the Art and Environment of the Church
- Oversee/train Liturgical Ministers
- Funeral Ministry
