The “Spirit of Love” Charismatic prayer group of Our Lady of the Woods, meets in the “Chapel in the Woods”, every Tuesday, at 7:00 p.m.
- We pray over the “prayer basket”, as we lift up intentions of our parish community, especially our priests, religious, and for the increase of vocations.
- We are under the guidelines of the Detroit Catholic Charismatic Renewal of the Archdiocese of Detroit.
- Our Vision Statement is “To lift up Jesus by the power and charisms of the Holy Spirit, to the glory of God the Father.”
- Our Mission Statement is: The Detroit Catholic Charismatic Renewal (DCCR) is a local expression of the new outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the Archdiocese of Detroit as part of the broader renewal within the church.
- Its mission with the approval of the Archbishop of Detroit is to foster unity, holiness, and action through charismatic prayer groups and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
- Two of our members are also on the Assembly for the DCCR.
- We have a Pastoral Team and a Core team.
- Our group is listed under the Worship Commission of Our Lady of the Woods.
