Ministry & Organization Presentation of the Gifts

Leading into Our Lady of the Woods 50th Anniversary in September a proposal has been presented that it would be appropriate if we (the Parish) publicly recognized the Ministries and Organizations that have helped to develop and keep our Parish Strong, Vibrant and Evangelical.

The idea presented, is to have each Ministry and Organization collectively carry the Offertory gifts to the altar at all 3 masses (4 pm, 9 am, & 11 am) on a given scheduled weekend. Depending on the size of the organizations the options would be:

• To collectively all appear at each mass for their scheduled weekend and process together with the gifts to the Altar at the time of the offertory, or
• For the members of the organization present at their regular mass that they attend (4 pm, 9 am, or 11 am) process together with the gifts to the Altar at the time of the offertory.

Before the beginning of each Mass the Commentator would read as a part of the Announcements:

“This weekend at all masses the members of the Parish Advisory Panel (example) will be presenting the Offertory Gifts in recognition of their contribution to our parish that make OLOW Parish Strong, Vibrant and Evangelical.”
